Responsible for external relations, primarily in maritime domain, continued to represent Sweden on EU and UN (IMO) level. As Deputy Director fully engaged in leading the department of 360 experts and in addition heading the division with expertise in civil aviation and maritime domain in strategy and international relations and negations on EU and UN level (IMO, ICAO) and keeping a close dialog with Swedish government. Responsible for relationship with stakeholders and with peers on Nordic, EU and global level.

Responsible for all ship safety and environment in Sweden and for Swedish flagged vessels. Appointed by the government to be head of delegation in negotiations at EU and UN (IMO) level and to be Swedish representative in EMSA, European Safety Agency administrative board. The 150 employees were experts to be able to conduct Flag- and port state responsibilities including domestic ships and pleasure crafts.
