Hello! I currently work at ZeroNorth, where I lead an amazing team of software engineers that work on optimizing routing for ships, in order to make global trade greener and more efficient. I am very excited about using data, math and code to make better business decisions. In particular, I have a special place in my heart for mathematical optimisation/operations research, and generally making operations more efficient - for the better of customers, coworkers and the environment.I am a strong believer in servant leadership: I think my job as a manager is to provide purpose, meaning, context and a good challenge/opportunity - and then do my best to help people reach or exceed their goals.I have a quite wide range of interests, and I haven't always been so sure about what I would like to do. This is reflected in my background, which contains a mix of academic research and teaching of applied mathematics (my PhD is in control theory), studies of cognitive science/psychology and management consulting.Please note that I only accept connection requests from people that I know or have at least had some interaction with.
