Developed an array of expense tracking spreadsheets for use by deputies. Integrated this data into one centralized spend plan to allow the Marshal to see all expenses at a glance. Conducted an audit of accounts payable for Joint Law Enforcement Operations and Sex Offender Operations, clearing out an extensive backlog of unpaid and overdue bills in a short time.Developed a full budget for FY 2020 & 2021 High Intensity Drug Trafficking task force, including market research on necessary equipment to protect officer’s safety.Cleared out a large backlog of obligations from previous fiscal years, releasing hundreds of thousands of dollars back the U.S. Treasury.Created a package of scenarios for cellblock guard payroll, demonstrating to the deputies the different scheduling options which would prevent overspending on guards.

Designed and implemented an issue tracking dashboard for the IG and Deputy IG using JIRA and Confluence. Briefed Navy flag officers on the system, who adopted it for enterprise-wide improvements.Identified several thousand dollars in improper payments and expenses; referred to management for action. Established common system and business workflow practices to avoid. Also, worked with leadership to recommend new training initiatives to avoid poor practices.Conducted a review of employee out-processing practices that revealed $350 thousand of lost property and significant security risks. This resulted in a complete overhaul of the NPS out-processing system.Design and conducted internal controls assessments of five NPS departments and made policy recommendations to management for each. All resulted in both labor and cost savings.Worked with the Department of Navy to redesign the self-assessment checklists. Created new checklists for each category, which the Navy adopted enterprise-wide.Promoted three times and received two awards for superior performance in two years.

Managed two litigation teams, consisting of six legal assistants.Reached out to and signed up over 600 clients, making the litigation the second largest at the firm.Trained two new hires for the ongoing multidistrict litigations.Filed over 200 complaints in federal court, making The Branch Law Firm among the litigations largest participants.Implemented a full records management program for my litigations, successfully overhauling the inadequate system put into place by my predecessor. Negotiated settlements worth in excess of $3 million.
