Worked as a teaching assistant for the two week intersession course for Introduction to Statistics forPsychologists at the University of Arkansas Department of Psychological Sciences.Duties included in this position:• Managing course grades on the class learning management system.• Grading nightly short answer and formula-based homework assignments, providing written clear anddirect feedback to students about their understanding.• During in-class activities, checking students' work, providing supportive but corrective feedback andanswering questions about the material.• Providing direct instruction for "drill" sections which involve active learning activities to help studentssolidify the material.

Worked under Dr. Alex Dopp in the Research to Enhance Availability ofChild Mental Health Services (REACH) lab at the University of Arkansas Department of PsychologicalSciences.Duties:• Participant recruitment.• Participant interview transcriptions.• Literature searches.• Data input and sorting.• Research assistant training.• Building of local community partnership.

Provided behavioral mental health interventions for children ages 3 – 5 with a history of abuse and neglect. Interventions used age-appropriate activities to reach behavioral goals as determined by a clinical mental health professional. Behaviors included anxiety, depression, aggression, ADHD, and overall low social competence.Interpretation and translation was a secondary function I served for Dayspring. This included family therapy, individual therapy, intakes, assessments, and collateral services. Clients for interpretation ranged from age 3 to adults. (English/Spanish)
