Over the Edge sends participants who have raised pledges rappelling down an office building in a signature event for non-profits. We as the field crew would rig the main rappels and training rappels. I would instruct participate on what their equipment is, safety features, do’s don’ts, and how to properly use their equipment. I would load the participants and further instruct them on how to use their equipment properly.

Vertical Systems International is a Canadian based business which mainly deals with Rope Access Contracts and Mountain Safety support. I recently finished a 7 month job outside of Rifle CO, as a rescue technician and terrain specialist. I worked heavily in steep terrain and in and around helicopters. Responsible for terrain assessments, mountain safety and awareness courses, technical rescue support, and work in steep terrain. A larger contracting company that mostly dealt with custom homes in Cashiers, North Carolina. Who would contract me out for any major work they needed done at heights. I would help or rig industrial safety systems for interior or exterior applications, run tongue and groove on 40ft. + vaulted ceiling, trim out skylights, frame in eves, run soffit and fascia board, and frame in collar ties and much more. I worked mainly with the lead carpenter or one other crew member to complete tasks at heights.

A small contracting company that deals mostly with custom homes in Cashiers, North Carolina.I worked consistently at heights. I was responsible for the safety of the crew and accessing any part of the house. I did work with cedar shanks and metal roofing at heights, using fall restraint systems. Rope work was necessary to access and work in a safe manner on all roofs. I worked with high end trim and tongue and grove on 40ft. + vaulted ceilings, with fall restraint and fall arrest systems. I rigged all safety system for crew and myself. I worked with screening at heights of three stories on walk boards with fall arrest systems. I have helped frame out houses at heights of three stories runner the ridge, trusses and rafters with use of fall arrest systems. I have also worked with all aspects of residential construction, masonry, framing, siding, decking, roofing, trim exterior and interior.I was responsible for the quality of work and safety of 3-6 crew members.
