Over 20 years of high end construction in the Tahoe basin, as well as San Francisco and the Mendicino coast. I have studied achitecture informally my entire life from Japanese and Chinese woodcraft in the 1600's to the most modern desiings of today. I attempt in my design work to integrate the ideas of today into forms redolent of the past to make a comfortable living space with lots of light and free flowing layouts. The use of passive and active solar, as well as high efficiency heating and cooling systems are a priority, along with creating building envelopes that reduce the loads on those systems and add to the long term viability of the project.Specialties: single family dwellings are my forte, though I have consulted on Restuarant kitchen and bar design.
