About Erik Olson
I was on track to start a business and live a comfortable life until I met women caught in sex trafficking. Their stories of abuse, rape, brokenness, fear, and shame tore me up. I joined the movement to fight this evil and was shocked to find most women were trafficked while desperately searching for a job. Realizing our fight needs to include job creation and economic development (an inherent weakness of nonprofits), I quit my nonprofit work. So in a community vulnerable to trafficking and abundant with coconuts, we started a coconut business.We were disgusted to find most coconut oil comes from moldy coconuts and every coconut oil is boiled for shelf stability. We worked with Filipino coconut farmers to create a new method of coconut oil that retains all the raw benefits, giving you 4x the antioxidants. We use fresh coconuts, bottle at the source to lock in that freshness and have our workers sign each jar.
