About Erik Piatti
I am currently assistant professor of experimental condensed matter physics at the Department of Applied Science and Technology of Politecnico di Torino, studying the physical properties of advanced materials at low temperatures and under the application of ultrahigh electric fields. Currently, my research focuses mainly on the control of superconductivity and other exotic electronic phases by means of electrostatic and electrochemical charge doping. I graduated cum laude as a Ph.D. in Condensed Matter Physics at Politecnico di Torino, and have been a visiting researcher at the University of California Berkeley, at the Zernike Institute for Advanced Materials, and at the University of Cambridge.
