Directing a forward leaning organization that executes Enterprise Project Management and Solutions identification for our GSA customer base.

Serves as an IT Expert directing mission critical projects. Directs work groups, and serves as agency spokesperson to plan, develop, and execute high-visibility projects to enhance the long range needs of the agency. Also advises GSA management on new developments, advanced techniques and optimal solutions in the information systems area; develops papers, reports, and analysis which state the agency's position. Current key projects are:- 2020 Presidential Transition (Directing all Information Technology initiatives for the Presidential Transition to include engagement with GSA CIO and other Senior Officials, Campaign Pre-election teams, Transition teams, Outgoing Administrations, Presidential Inaugural Committees, and management of the $15 Million dollar budget. Also design, implementation, and execution of new IT infrastructure in support of the transition offices. )- Collocation of GSA Regional Personnel to the GSA HQ Building (Directing Information Technology initiatives to relocate 1,100 GSA personnel from the Regional Office Building to the GSA HQ building {both buildings in Washington, DC}. This includes relocation of IT Infrastructure, design and implementation of new wireless technologies, design and oversight of new IT construction, and numerous other IT initiatives.)

2016 Presidential Transition TeamLeading all aspects of the Design, Planning, Installation, Operation and Maintenance of new IT Infrastructure for 3 Presidential Transition Offices which includes:- Defining the project scope and budget for one 120,000 sf office (Presidential Transition), and two 30,000 sf offices (Pre-Election) for the President-Elect, Vice-President-Elect, President-Elect Spouse, and their staffs- Developing the various work plans, determining and overseeing the resources needed to complete the project (including government and contract personnel).- Developing the requirements for new cable plant design for all 3 transition offices in addition to a newly constructed SCIF (Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility)- Managing the schedule of the project and overseeing the design of all technology initiatives that are to be implemented as part of the transition (including Network Design and Implementation, Wireless Design and Implementation, IP based Voice {VoIP} Design and Implementation, Cloud Based Application Installation {including Google Mail}, Design of Network Security Infrastructure, Installation of Telecommunications Circuits, Video Telecommunications Services, Audio/Visual Services, etc.)- Preparing Project and Budgetary Briefs for Agency Senior Management- Develop and manage over $12.5 Million in government contracts for equipment and services required to complete the transition- Execute and monitor program and project plans and make adjustments as necessary to successfully complete the projectThe first phase of the Presidential Transition project (Schedule, Design, and Budget Development) began in August 2014. In addition, part of this project will consist of managing the temporary relocation, restack, and IT Services of ~700 government personnel within the GSA Headquarters Building.

GSA Headquarters Modernization/Transformation and relocation to GSA Swing Space. Managed the design, development, deployment, and oversight of all IT initiatives for the Modernization of the GSA Headquarters Building in Washington, DC and the relocation to GSA Swing Space at One Constitution Square (1275 First Street, NE). This includes:- Overall budget development and supervision.- Design of the building cable plant and installation of telecommunications circuits. Developed the concept of a single backbone for all IP services within a building. This included the addition of physical security services and building management services on a single backbone.- Deployment of a new VoIP Infrastructure and Installation of WAN and LAN Backbone routers and switches in the telecommunication areas (this VoIP implementation included the configuration of softphone only environments at 1800 F).- Managed the installation of the Video Telecommunication systems at the GSA Swing Space Building and the GSA Headquarters Building.- Managed the implementation of IP based broadcast television distribution within the GSA Headquarters Building.- Contract and Oversight of the removal of excess IT equipment from 4 major GSA facilities- Managed the orderly shutdown and closure of IT Infrastructure Systems in 3 major GSA facilities (Buildings in Crystal City, Willow Wood, and One Constitution Square)- Managed the relocation of major computing centers at 1800 F (majority of assets transferred to the GSA ROB in Kansas City, MO) and at 2200 Crystal Drive (majority of IT assets transferred to the PBS Data Center in Chantilly, VA)- Managed the implementation of shared printing service centers at 1800 F which eliminated the need for workgroup and personal printers- Managed the design and installation of a new Computer Room at 1800 F which included new technology for cooling (In-Row) and a shared UPS within the building

- Lead Engineer on GSA's Wide Area Network- Developed hardware and software technical specifications, prepared and conducted benchmark tests, performed technical evaluations of proposed hardware and data communications system software products. Specific technical evaluations and procurements included GSA's Acquisition of Cisco ASR 1000 Series Routers (Acted as both Technical and Procurement Lead for this Acquisition - 2008); GSA's Acquisition of Cisco MGX 8850 Multiservice Series Switches and Management Software (Acted as both Technical and Procurement Lead for this Acquisition - began in 2005); GSA’s Acquisition of Cascade Communications (later acquired by Lucent) series switches and management software (Acted as both Technical and Procurement Lead for this Acquisition - 1997).- Authored the Statement of Work for the Layer 2 MPLS services task order against the GSA Networx Services contract. These services from both AT&T and Verizon are used for primary WAN data transport. Successful migration was completed in June 2010.- Directed large scale data communications hardware and software procurements.

- Wide Area Networking with focus Specifically on Designing, Programming, Implementing, and Maintaining Data Communication Systems and Software for GSA's Wide Area Backbone Network with emphasis on the design of MPLS L2 VPNWAN, ATM and Frame Relay WAN configurations.- Functioned as an Agency Wide Expert in the area of Wide Area Networking.- Developed techniques and standard procedures for configuration and software design, programming, and operation of GSA’s Network Infrastructure to promote effective management and use of computer systems.- Troubleshoots data communications system problems (system crashes, unexplained communication malfunctions, and other abnormal processing/communication issues) reported by management systems or computer site personnel.- Diagnoses cause of the problem and initiates remedial action in the isolation/diagnosis of problems with data communications system software/hardware.- Continually monitors the operation of data communications system configurations in light of changing technology to ensure that processing efficiency and cost effectiveness is maximized whenever possible.
