As a Manager of Process Engineering at Ubbink, I thrive on transforming complex challenges into streamlined solutions. We're doing both NPI and Value stream restructuring with a team of 5 Engineers.With a bottom-up driven team we're aiming to be a knowledge center within the group.

As part of a new department at Ubbink, the Senior Process Engineer and I are responsible for:- Establishing the Department Vision: Setting up the department’s framework and vision for future collaboration.- Setting up project management methods: Introducing the concept of steering committee, core team and extented team to Ubbink to create a better cooperation between stakeholders. Steering on targets, scope and team to follow up on milestones. - Supporting Value Stream (Re)development: Leading the redevelopment of current value streams and integrating New Product Introductions (NPIs) into existing or new value streams by creating and maintaining a comprehensive manufacturing plan.- Developing the Manufacturing Plan: The plan encompasses all factors required for a product’s lifecycle, including: Capacity analysis / Grouping of product families / pFMEA (process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) / Business case development / Logistical parameters / Work breakdown structure / Standard work sheets / Line specifications- Validating Performance for Handover: Ensuring that all theoretical information is validated during Run@Rates to achieve optimal performance, quality, and ergonomics for the Operations team.

Responsible for technical customer statisfaction, costs saving and quality improvement. Working in a cross-functional team with quality and processengineers. Leading role in 8D problem solving and a supporting roll in achieving PPAP on both customer and supplier side. Customers: JLR, Ford, Volvo and Honda.

As a project Manager I kept projects on planning and within budget. I also kept a broader view on all projects within Ventilair with great impact, for example the Ecodesign legislation which will be introduced in 2016 for Ventilation equipment. I worked with a small team and reported to the Chief Technical Director.

As an Engineer I was responsible for bringing concepts to market, whilst keeping existing products up to date. I worked on design briefs, conceptual designs, and worked out these designs. I also made prototypes and tested these, as well as existing products. Reports were drafted to inform the management.

To provide both ASML and Cofely with current and future status of components operating in the cooling system at the ASML Veldhoven production plant I took the following steps:- Preliminary research analysis options: RAMSHEC, RCM, TQM, RCA, FMEA, FTA, LCC, CROWS AMSAA and Weibull analysis;- Preliminary research for maintenance strategies including: PM (both CBPM and TBMP), CM and curative maintenance;- Using the above mentioned analysis methodology to form a new method, attuned to the corporate need and environment of ASML;- Validating the concept on one of the cooling wells;- Using the PDCA-circle with double loop learning to facilitate constant improvement for the new method.

After my internship I was asked by Comair to stay.During this period I was a jack of all trades, helping out the Sr. R&D Engineer. Among others my tasks were:- Making CAD drawings of an air distribution system (Uniflex+) with Inventor 2011;- Developing new parts for Unlifex +;- Setting up a new library system for CAD drawings; making it accessible on all computers simultaneously, keeping old versions whilst making the whole system more transparent and easy to use.- Finishing the last design stages of the Aquacom:- Keeping the 3D CAD drawings up to date; changing sheet metal and adding new parts;- Making design choices for parts;- Writing the manual;- Setting up a dry testing method so no immersion test was needed.

Redevelopment of a heat exchanger unit (HRUC-E).During this period I gained experience in the following disciplines: - Residential ventilation rules for the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and Switzerland;- Specific Fan Power and volute chamber for fans;- Design of air flows;- Design of heat exchangers;- Communicating wants and needs in the design process.
