Erika Boudreau-Barbee Email and Phone Number

ERIKA BOUDREAU-BARBEE graduated with a BFA in dance from Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. She has been seen in the theatre, commercial, and downtown dance worlds but her true passion lives in creating. When in New York City she dances for Third Rail Projects in their large immersive theatre production "The Grand Paradise" and for Pilar Castro-Kiltz as a member and Director's Assistant for Ensemble Dance. In addition to being a freelance dancer, she is focused on her personal artistic development experimenting with mediums and removing the division between them. Erika received a grant from Takt Kunsprojektraum Artist Residency and Gallery in Berlin, Germany in April 2015. In that month, she premiered "Inner Peaces" for a solo exhibition at Tapir Lab Gallery, collaborated in performance projects for Takt Kunsprojektraum Gallery (both galleries located in Berlin, Germany), and performed her work "My Dear Time," at the Tapenwerk Festival in Leipzig, Germany. While abroad, she hosted workshops both in movement and in meditation at Takt Academy. Erika has been a certified Reiki practioner since 2013 using the Usui traditional technique and achieved her Master Certificate in January 2015. She has been taught by Reiki Master Renee Redding-Jones (The Center for Life and Learning) and Reiki Masters Ana and Carlos Gonzales (New York International Reiki Center). Erika has been invited to be an artist in residence at Takt (Germany) totaling four months, at La Fragua Artist Residency (Spain) for two months, and has participated in a variety of festivals in several countries. Although most of her work is movement based, she has shown films and paintings at exhibitions, crafted site specific work, and created an ongoing performance series with social and political context.
