Dr. Erika L. Epps is a clinical psychologist who practices utilizing a holistic approach to better the individual, mind, body, soul, and spirit. My educational background includes two M.A. degrees in Family Ministry and Theological Studies from Winebrenner Theological Seminary in Findlay, Ohio. She received a Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.) from American School of Professional Psychology, Argosy University in Alameda, California. Dr. Epps has been working in the mental health field since 1994, when she started as a juvenile hall counselor. For the past 25 years, she has held varying positions within the field of mental health like Psychologist, Postdoctoral Fellow, Predoctoral Intern, Life Advocate, Dorm Resident Supervisor, Substance Abuse Counselor, Re-Entry Counselor, Juvenile Probation Officer, just to name a few. These roles paved her career journey as well as her occupational identity. Dr. Epps is a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) within the State of Texas, Certified Life Coach, Certified Grief Educator, under the tutelage of Grief Expert David Kessler, Business Coach and Professional Development Trainer, and Ordained Christian Minister through National Association of Christian Ministers (NACM). Dr. Epps has also worked as faculty with college aged students at the University of Texas Permian Basin, Texas A&M University Student Counseling Center, and two other Texas community colleges.Additionally, Dr. Epps a.k.a. Dr. E. is a big supporter of emotional and physical wellness. She is a Certified Body Technician and Trainer offering body sculpting and body wrapping services. Dr. E. focuses on natural treatments to improve the appearance of the skin and function of the body. Dr. Epps founded her own private practice in 2019, called Becoming A Better You (B.A.B.Y.) where she served the emotional and addiction struggles of individuals and their families.
