I am submitting the thesis in July.

Worked under Dr. April Pyle to understand the pluripotency of human embryonic stem cells using gene expression assays. Specifically, we looked at the role of the PTEN gene in the PI3K/AKT pathway by using the expression of the OCT4 and NANOG genes.I gained a lot of experience with QPCR, PCR, and tissue culture maintenance. This work was partly funded by the MARC program.
