As the NTSA Membership Manager, I administered service programs for members and strategic partners, provided primary support for NTSA operations, leadership council members, and committees. Using my customer service, event management and project management skills, I facilitated NTSA member events, annual recognition, and award programs. I worked closely with internal and external stakeholders to grow our constituencies for NTSA’s membership programs and streamlined operational processes.

As a member of the PATH DC team I managed projects and events from initiation to closing. I worked with local and international representatives to execute projects to translate program and project objectives into executable event plans and experiences. As the lead event planner in the Advocacy and Public Policy Department (and in collaboration with global health SMEs) I coordinated briefings and policy related events for U.S House of Representatives, Senate, United Nations General Assembly and International Global Health Conference.

At the Dixon Group I managed government conferences, ranging in size and scope (largest: 500 speakers, 2,500 registrants, 22 concurrent sessions), with budgets of $250K – $1.5M. In this position I was able to execute the the largest, and most fulfilling projects of my career, the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Grantee Conference. A large portion of my time was spent working with stakeholders to plan and execute the logistics of the project, including volunteer management and training. Working on that project allowed me to grow my stakeholder management skills including using emotional intelligence and judgment to escalate sensitive customer registration and housing needs. I was able to ensure positive outcomes by liaising with hotel staff and conference chair persons to make sure such the attendee needs were met. I worked with a great team and was able to build relationships that allowed me to leverage company resources and assign the right staff to the right project work to meet project outcomes.

At BL Seamon I provided full-cycle government meeting management for clients of various sizes and complexity. As a contractor I was able to execute successful project work by working closely with stakeholders to ensure understanding of the SOW which translated into verifiable deliverables.

At Marymount University I Coordinated and oversaw events in support of the Development and University President's offices. In this capacity I researched and made recommendations for collaborations and corporate partnerships for annual donor events. My work included research to propose and secure guest speakers (Michael Kors, Cynthia Rowley, Shelia Johnson), the coordination of logistics, as well as donor guest handling. At Marymount I established and maintained positive working relationships with alumni, donors, campus officials and departments and supported major university events when requested (President's Dinners, Commencement Luncheons, etc.). The most fulfilling work I accomplished with Marymount was done in conjunction with the development officers and alumni relations department to create new scholarships and student opportunities. While working on the annual Portfolio in Motion Luncheon [500 person fundraiser] I was able to increase outside funding by by partnering with retailers to establish corporate donors and set a new record for paid attendance.
