I am a licensed clinical psychologist who has worked with adolescents and adults in a variety of settings across the continuum of care, providing individual and group therapy in both English and Spanish. I primarily treat eating disorders, disordered eating, body image issues, trauma, anxiety, and depression. I also volunteer for the Bay Area Asylum Mental Health Project conducting pro bono mental health evaluations for people seeking asylum in the United States.I have a strong background in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), cognitive processing therapy (CPT), exposure and response prevention (ERP), family based treatment (FBT), and motivational interviewing. I strive for an integrative, flexible, and client-centered application of evidence-based techniques, seeking to honor the lived experience of each individual and to understand the impact of sociocultural narratives of privilege and power. I am frequently consulted by other professionals regarding the treatment of eating disorders and the provision of size-inclusive healthcare services.
