Verify donor information. Set up Auto-C Machine for plasma donation. With disposable set and plasma collection bottle. Prep arm using iodine gel by scrubbing it clean before performing a needle stick. After needle insertion needle is connected to set. Machine is turned on to start pumping blood from donor. I collect plasma collection bottles, remove needle and wrap donors arm when donation is completed. I train employees on proper needle sticks and machine set up. I also train on how to disconnect donors when donation has been completed. I supervise donor floor making sure no donors are sleeping, talking on cell phones, injured or feeling ill. I supervise break schedules making sure all 12 phlebotomists have signed up and taken breaks. I make sure breaks are 15 minutes in length and lunches are 30 minutes and everyone returns on time.
