Hello, I am, Erika Monzon, an undergraduate student at The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) majoring in Neuroscience and Psychology. I am also an IES Pathways fellow and a member of the UTSA Honors College. I have research experience in neurofeedback therapy and technology, language processing, brain imaging techniques, and molecular biology. I am currently a neurofeedback technician at Brain Coach LLC. working alongside Dr. Sunita Punjabi. I have worked as a Laboratory Assistant at the Wicha Lab at UTSA, focusing on the cognitive neuroscience of bilingualism. Additionally, I assisted with research at the Contreras Laboratory at UT, examining Pseudomonas Aeruginosa degradation rates.I am actively pursuing professional development. I've participated in conferences like the ETS-Young Scientists Institute conference and attended workshops, including a Systematic Reviews Workshop led by Dr. Terri Pigott. I've also engaged in networking events, such as the Latinitas Community Networking Workshop.Additionally, I've completed certifications in Human Research through CITI and Project Management through Coursera's Google Career Certificates Program.
