This internship has helped me gain practical experience in the hospitality industry and develop skills within a professional environment. Throughout my internship, my position has rotated throughout all departments of the hotel. This has allowed me to gain a learning experience of how to manage and operate a hotel business.

I worked as an intern at Saphire Event Group, an event venue in MA, every other Sunday during this past summer. This was the first internship I had ever had the opportunity to work at. I learned a lot from this experience and fell in love with wedding planning.• Shadowed the wedding planner at every wedding. • Helped set up small decorations like candles and centerpieces. • Learned more about wedding terminology and the procedure of a wedding. • Experienced meetings with the bride and groom before their wedding to discuss menus, guest lists, etc. • Welcomed guests into the ceremony space. • Assisted in the kitchen when prepping the entrees to be served. • Had the opportunity to experience shadowing at 2/4 locations of the company.

Every weekend, I worked independently at Whole Foods as a Brand Ambassador, handing out samples of various brands. I started this employment as a part-time job at the beginning of the second semester (the first weekend of January) to earn some extra money in my spare time away from classes/schoolwork.
