As the Aquatics and Athletics Manager for the City of Richardson I oversee our 5 outdoor aquatic facilities. Our newest and biggest facility, the Heights Family Aquatic Center was opened in 2013 and welcomes more than 1,000 patrons per day. I supervise the management staff for all 5 facilities as well as maintain daily facility operations, including chemical controls, risk management, and patron relations. I coordinate our Learn to Swim program, taught by American Red Cross certified instructors. I plan and advertise for aquatic events, such as the annual Dive-In Movie.When the aquatic facilities close for the summer I assist in managing the City Corporate Challenge program as well as athletic programming needs.

In my current role at Southern New Hampshire University I am directly responsible for the oversight of the Campus Recreation program. The department consists of three professional staff and a variety of student supervisors and student staff. The main areas within our program are: aquatics, group exercise, fitness, intramurals, personal training, and sport clubs. Our program has seen tremendous growth since the re-branding of the department in 2013. Campus Recreation, previously known as Rec Sports now offers more intramural sports, the opportunity to begin new sport clubs, a personal training program lead by student trainers and an enhanced group exercise program.The focus of our department is give our patrons an opportunity that will guide them to make healthy decisions and remain active while on campus. We strive to offer a variety of programs that meet the needs of our customers and are constantly adapting our program to meet the current industry trends.

As the Assistant Coordinator of Campus Recreation I directly oversaw the intramural program, marketing and social media, and operations of the department. I hired, trained, and evaluated all student employees which included: student supervisors, officials, scorekeepers, graphic designers, club sports supervisors, and an MBA level intern.In addition, I have stepped into the role as SAAC advisor, working directly with our student-athletes to develop a strong relationship within the SNHU community.

While fulfilling my duties as a Graduate Assistant for Campus Recreation I was able to complete my MBA in Sports Management. During the two years at Franklin Pierce I was responsible for managing and organizing the entire intramural program. I assisted in the over site of our recreational facility, a 72,000 square foot area, known as the Bubble. The Bubble hosts two tennis courts, two basketball courts, a 50 yard turf field, multipurpose area, a two lane track, and cardio/weight room area. Maintaining these areas required an immense amount of detail and excellent organization skills. I was responsible for training all student employees ranging from desk receptionists to intramural officials to Adventure Recreation trip leaders.
