Erika Bernabei’s (she/they, white) work connects intentions and impact, in solidarity with Black, Indigenous and communities of Color and our collective humanity. Through Equity & Results, Erika leads the strategic design and implementation of whole organization and collaborative work to achieve racially equitable results. Erika works with small and large organizations, collective impact initiatives and public agencies to use results-driven, racial equity principles to build capacity for impact.Equity & Results uses antiracist principles, developed by the People’s Institute, elders, scholars and organizers, to transform how systems work and strategically disrupt common practices and replace them with actions that address the root causes of the problem. Erika is an expert in Antiracist Results-Based Accountability (AR RBA), and has worked with groups locally and nationally to successfully use this tool.

• Leadership in developing sustainable housing strategies for the 12,500 homeless families with children (40,000 individuals) so that they become and remain permanent members of their communities.• Structuring the work of the Unit to be results-driven and focused on quality assurance and successful housing market strategies to ensure impact for families• Developing capacity of 170+ shelter through holistic training and conferencing and with clients to address educational, legal, mental health and other systems level challenges.

Leads and manages system of results driven infrastructure and support to 50+ Promise Neighborhoods grantees and communities to advance equitable opportunity and results for low-income children and children of color, their families and communities. Aligned body of work includes:• Leadership of multi-sectoral, collaborative work with school superintendents, principals, teachers, nonprofit leaders, private sector, community members and youth to ensure alignment across rolls, capacities and culture• Development and management of common data infrastructure and training on data use to improve cradle to career solutions • Expertise in Results Based Accountability, including training with leadership and stakeholders/community members• Management and deployment of experts on cradle to career solutions• Design and development of Leadership development program for community leaders • Budget development and management• Partnership management with federal agency, intermediary organizations, data system vendors and experts, local decision makers and community members

• Research, writing, interviewing, editing under the direction of Vice President for Research on topics including community-university partnerships, infrastructure/built environment, health disparities • Event coordination, agenda setting, material development

• Housing Unit Clerk focused on fair housing, landlord-tenant issues, and advocacy for elderly, low-income disabled tenants• Prepared legal memos and research; provided case management for Legal Aid clients

• Program Coordinator for national program that aids state government officials in better serving youth in the juvenile justice system• Responsibilities included budget and database maintenance, grant applications, research and writing, coordinated and facilitated meetings and events
