Erika joined the Chicago Symphony Orchestra Association in January 2022 as Director of Institutional Marketing & Revenue Management where she oversees the team’s audience development and brand awareness efforts; data analysis and research studies; partnerships in the hospitality and tourism industry; key relationships with CSOA volunteer groups including the African American Network, Latino Alliance and young professionals; and revenue management practices for the organization including pricing, inventory management, sales projections, forecasting and analysis.Prior to joining the CSOA, Erika served as Senior Marketing Director at Steppenwolf Theatre Company, a Tony-Award winning ensemble-based theatre producing nearly 700 performances and events each year on its three stages, where she oversaw single ticket sales strategies, promotions and advertising, devising and expanding strategies to vigorously promote all productions and organizational initiatives to reach attendance, objective and revenue goals. Previous arts marketing positions have also included Hubbard Street Dance Chicago; UMS at the University of Michigan; the Ann Arbor Summer Festival; and Rocky Ridge Music Center. Erika has served as Vice Chair of Tourism for the Lincoln Park Chamber of Commerce and has spoken about a variety of marketing-related topics at Loyola University, DePaul University, Columbia College Chicago and national and international webinars and arts conferences including the Association of Performing Arts Presenters, National Arts Marketing Project, Capacity Interactive CI to Eye Live, and Asimetrica de les Artes. Erika holds a bachelor’s degree from New England Conservatory of Music and a master’s from the University of Michigan in music composition, and enjoys playing cello in a community orchestra, Argentine tango dancing, hiking, homemade pasta-making, and unwinding watching reality tv. Erika’s personal mission is to invite others in with a smile, live a generous and balanced life, and not take the unimportant too seriously.
