Currently working as a MS, CCC-SLP Full-time for Ensign Rehabilitation and PRN/Part-Time for Gulf Coast Therapy Services). Open to PRN/overtime opportunities with neighboring Ensign facilities and/or taking on private pay virtual pediatric patients. Graduated May 10th, 2014 with a Bachelors of Health Science in Communication Disorders, as well as on May 6th, 2017 with a Graduate Degree/Masters in Health Science specialized in Speech-Language Pathology from Northeastern State University. As a student/intern I maintained roughly a 3.5-4.0 GPA as a collegiate athlete. Following undergraduate coursework I was employed for one year as a home health SLP-A in the greater Houston area prior to becoming an evaluating SLP-CCC qualified therapist. I have attained a broad spectrum of knowledge across many clinical settings including telehealth. I have worked with/had exposure to disabilities such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disability, ADD/ADHD,Phonological Processing Disorder, Down Syndrome, Speech Sound Disorders, Stuttering/Cluttering, Articulation Disorders, Cerebral Palsy, Language Disorders, Aphasia, Hearing Impaired/Deaf, Dementia, Dysphagia, Cognitive Impairment, TBI, Parkinson's, Stroke, Swallowing, Neurodegenerative, Pediatric/Adult Apraxia, Micro/Macrocephaly, Emotional Disturbance Disorder, Feeding/Sensory Disorders, Behavioral disorders, as well as many others. I have had exposure with many standardized tests, Vital Stem, LSVT, AAC/PECS, MBSS, & ASL 1 education (TX School of the Deaf). I am a highly motivated individual with fervor for success. I have substantial organizational and interpersonal skills. I take pride in my creativity, & believe patience is a virtue. I strive for accuracy & pay attention to detail. I work well with others; I consistently meet expectations to the best of my abilities, & I strive for excellence. I am no stranger to leading a group, & enjoy working alongside both pediatrics & geriatrics. I enjoy bringing encouragement to the lives of others & got into this profession because I believe it is my life calling as a Christian to serve others like Christ served me on the cross & because of the independence/benefits it provides. I believe patient centered care, ethics, & family/life balance should be the #1 priorities of any company/setting I choose to work for.
