Provide technical and managerial oversight to large, high-profile research projects for clients/donors including USAID, the Global Fund to End Modern Slavery (GFEMS), and the U.S. Department of Labor. I currently serve as team lead for USAID/Kenya’s Tusome Endline Performance Evaluation and USAID/Pakistan’s Pakistan Reading Project (PRP) Endline Assessment; principal investigator for GFEMS's Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children (CSEC) Prevalence Study in Coastal Kenya; principal investigator of GFEMS's Rapid Assessment of the impact of COVID-19 on CSEC in India; director of GFEMS's broader Prevalence Estimation Research Program in South Asia; and task lead for USAID's counter-trafficking landscape assessment in Timor-Leste. Previously, I led field work for the U.S. Department of Labor’s 10-year study on child labor in West Africa’s cocoa sector; served as evaluation expert for USAID/Morocco’s “whole-of-project” Performance Evaluation of its national Reading for Success (RFS) program; and provided technical leadership for an evaluability assessment of USAID’s $225 million congressionally-directed Local Works program. I am also an active member of NORC's independent Institutional Review Board and Quality Assurance Committee.

Provide technical leadership for experimental and quasi-experimental impact evaluations for a range of clients/sectors, but with a current focus on USAID early literacy/numeracy projects in Sub-Saharan Africa. Recently, I designed a national labor force study for MCC in Kosovo as well as several impact evaluations of Syrian refugee livelihood programs to support the structuring of a Development Impact Bond (DIB) for a European impact investment firm. As a departmental leader, I also support business development, manage divisional resources, supervise staff, and build internal systems and processes (such as creating data quality assurance systems and co-chairing SI's institutional review board).

As field-based Research Manager for IPA's Zambia and Malawi offices, I oversaw a portfolio of bi/multi-lateral funded randomized controlled trials spanning education, health, agriculture, governance, and finance. My responsibilities included ensuring project adherence to IPA's rigorous research protocols, managing project finances, contract compliance, donor management/cultivation, building internal systems/SOPs for the country offices, collaborating with government officials on new projects, and helping mainstream evidence-based models into national policy. I also supervised a staff of 9, designed/led trainings (in hard and soft skills) for hundreds of IPA staff across Africa, and co-facilitated J-PAL's Executive Education Course.

Lotus Outreach is a 501(c)3 non-profit that serves over 30,000 people in Asia across 15 development projects designed to improve education, food security, sanitation, and economic opportunity for vulnerable communities and survivors of trafficking/violence. As Executive Director, I was responsible for overall operations and resources of the organization, strategic planning, donor/grantor/sponsor cultivation, public relations, and managing the Board of Directors including affiliates in 7 countries. During my tenure (which started at the peak of the global financial crisis), we increased revenue threefold while maintaining a program spending ratio of over 80 percent.
