From 2020-2022, I was an in-home cared for a three-year old child with disabilities and his brother. The job consisted of partnering with Early Intervention to provide the child's therapy, as well as be the child's aid at preschool.

From January of 2020 to May of 2020, I completed an internship with a Compassion International Child Development Center in Uganda. From January to March, I lived in Uganda and competed the internship on-site. Due to the pandemic, I was sent home in March and completed the rest of the internship remotely. I am worked with children in the sponsorship program. I completed casework with school-aged children who were living in poverty. I assessed the child's Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) to make sure their needs were being meet. In completing the internship from home, I had to learn how to navigate remote learning with a country that does not have technology as accessible as I did.

As a teacher's assistant, I was in a different classroom each day, to fill in for teachers. I would teach lessons and ensure the safety of all children in the classroom. I created developmentally appropriate activities for children ranging from ages one to five.
