Hello, my name is Erika. I have a Bachelors Degree in Social Work (BSW) and a Masters in Social Work (MSW). I am currently the Resource and Volunteer Coordinator at Midwest Food Bank PA. Prior, I completed an internship with New Hope Ministries, where I was doing case management with low-income and homeless individuals. I have helped New Hope open up a new center which has included community outreach, volunteer coordinating, and casework with individuals. I completed intakes with guest to assess their financial circumstances and refer them to New Hope programs, or outside organizations. While in undergrad, I completed an internship in Lugazi, Uganda with Compassion International's Child Development Center. There, I was a casework who met with students who were in poverty. I completed assessments to ensure that the children's needs were being met and I completed home visits. I have a lot of experience working with low-income communities and have a passion for the homeless population. I also have a great amount of experience working with children. I was an in-home caretaker for a young boy with disabilities for two years.
