I curated and executed social media strategies across a variety of channels for Lifeway Foods and The Lifeway Kefir Shop. I specialized in photography and videography for use in design assets, website content, social media, advertising, and other marketing promotions. I also created recipes and wrote copy for their website, blog, product labels, advertising, and other marketing purposes.

Fine Dining Division

While working in the fine dining division at Lettuce Entertain You, I curated and executed a unique social media strategy for 13 separate restaurants. In addition to generating photography, videos, and copy for blogs and social media channels, I created monthly performance reports to track audience engagement and growth for each concept. I also managed online reputation for each restaurant location and managed our network of social media influencers.

While writing for Chicagoist.com, I photographed and reported on major food and beverage events across Chicago, reviewed new restaurants and meal services, conducted interviews with chefs and industry professionals, and created a specialized "Cheese of the Month" column.

After leaving my intern position at Plate Magazine, I was hired on to shoot and edit videos for their website and newsletter. Below are some of my favorite videos. You will need to sign in to view, but website enrollment is free of charge.

While working at Plate Magazine, I conducted interviews with chefs, wrote short stories, edited recipes and pitched ideas for their bi-monthly magazine issues and newsletters, edited chef demonstrations and interview videos, and assisted with their social media strategy. I had the privilege of working in the studio assisting food stylists and photographer during shoots for print stories. In 2013, I was assigned a short written piece about cheese for their Spanish issue. Thus, my lifelong obsession of cheese was born.

Chicago

My experience working in the Michelin-starred restaurant, Longman & Eagle, was fun and informative. I gained invaluable front-of-house experience while applying a working culinary knowledge in my detailed presentation of dishes to guests. I also expediting order tickets, exhibited leadership in communication with staff, and helped select artisan cheeses for their menu. I very much value the ample beverage knowledge that Longman & Eagle instills upon their entire staff, and will always be a whiskey drinker.

Working at Pastoral helped cultivate a working knowledge of specialty food and beverage. On a daily basis, I cared for and sold quality cheeses, created pairing packages for customers, built catering trays, fulfilled sandwich orders, and received an invaluable education on business practice, food service, artisan cheese, and craft beverages. My time at Pastoral cemented my decision to pursue my passion for cheese.

I generated posts for both Twitter and Facebook, as well as worked with the company's Pinterest. I also engaged with consumers through social media.

Trim is a high-volume waxing salon in Lincoln Park. As salon coordinator, I managed staff, inventory, scheduling, and client intake. I also assisted with merchandising and offered and exceptionally hospitable experience for all customers.

As a programmer, I was responsible for the curating of local film festivals. I recruited filmmakers and their films, evaluated submissions, reviewed films, cultivated press releases and worked with the promotions of the festivals. I also contacted various venues across the country to schedule tours for certain films. Finally, I've also worked with the production for film projects as well as video installation for art festivals.

Hugo's is a very high volume restaurant in the Goldcoast. As a hostess, I efficiently communicated with the staff to ensure readiness for large parties and special events. I worked with each customer to ensure the upmost satisfaction while dining with us. Furthermore, I worked in the reception office, scheduling reservations, answering customer inquiries, and assisting with customer service to the best of my abilities.

I filled in for the receptionist daily as well as assisted everyone around the office. I performed various research and organizational tasks, assisted with the planning of large events, received and distributed incoming mail to everyone in the office, and wrote statements, thank you letters and save-the-dates to clients and supporters of the Gene Siskel Film Center. I also had the privilege of brushing shoulders with celebrities while working at the center's two annual galas.
