I am a dynamic and forward thinking marketing Director with more than 15 years of proven experience in my field.I made the commitment to follow my chosen profession at the age of 18 when I stumbled across the marketing module of a business studies A Level course and it was an obsession from day one.Marketing is a science, that isn’t a science. It is underpinned by facts but can be moulded and shaped to reach amazing outcomes – be that from the development of a brand, to the showcasing of a product range to the communications package used to share these things with the market. Fascinating!During my career, I have learnt from the bottom up – essential in this profession – beginning as a Marketing Assistant to an incredible manager and eventually setting up and running my own marketing department and appointing my own team, without whom I could never have achieved great things.My core strengths lie in building relationships, communicating with stakeholders at all levels and being organised – it is these attributes which encourage buy-in from colleagues, peers and customers.Right here, right now: I began my role as Group Marketing Director for the Education Training Collective in September 2019. I spent 6 months working across five college sites and then the pandemic hit and added crisis management and COVID communications to my workload - what a year in which to earn my FE stripes! Every day here is different and education is like no other sector - we work hard and we see real results and real impact. I work with an amazing team, some extremely inspirational people and have had the opportunity to make a real contribution to the Group.
