Appointed process mechanical lead for Mine Site Design:• Spearheaded process mechanical engineering for a 2-year-long mine site design project valued at $20 million. Collaborated on document control, assisted with project cost estimates, and conducted quality control reviews of CAD standards.• Designed 50, 800-foot deep dewatering wells, piping/valve systems, submersible pump assemblies, and self-priming pumping systems. Interlinked piping between wells, ponds, buildings, and main pipeline.• Devised piping design/layout within buildings, including a water treatment plant, mine maintenance shop, 2 pump houses, and 50 well-head enclosures. Assigned drafters to draw piping layouts and offered direction/feedback.• Partnered on the design of fire protection systems for site/buildings and plumbing/HVAC for site facilities. Contributed to pipe selection, specifications, and piping/instrumentation diagrams.• Validated compatibility with structural supports, orchestrating designs with structural, electrical, and civil lead engineers.• Strengthened compliance with CAD standards through detailed drawing reviews. Managed operations and safety of this camp’s lakefront activities with a staff of 12 boat drivers, 20 summer staff members, and 100+ children. Transported staff/children to the lake, delegated tasks to camp counselors, responded to emergencies, maintained facilities, and remained in radio contact with all boat drivers. Equipment Safety: Ensured driver, and camper safety by training as a Red Cross-certified lifeguard and facilitating staff training. Led 25 lake members through a weekend-long orientation to the 40,000-acre lakefront, the largest in Arkansas. Maintained boats, docks, and buildings.Driving Safety: Assured safer driving by observing each boat driver providing vehicle operations guidance. Made decisions based on weather conditions. Accountable for assessing weather conditions and activity go/no go decisions.Relationship Management: Promoted from initial service as Counselor [2002-2005] after recognition as Male Counselor of the Year.
