Advocate on behalf of patients who receive Applied Behavior Analysis services. Prepare initial and progress authorization reports/documents to be submitted to various insurance providers. Provide case feedback and oversight to ensure that treatment goals meet/relate back to the core deficits of Autism to direct treating BCBAs. Complete clinical reviews with Autism Care Case Managers and Paraprofessionals during verbal peer to peer authorization reviews. Prepare and submit patient appeal documents to submit to corresponding insurance providers as a result of split decision outcomes.

Miami/Fort Lauderdale Area

Provide supervision and training to RBTs and behavior therapists. Develop individualized treatment plans (e.g., goals, objectives, and interventions) and monitor client progress towards goals. Provide direct individualized client care in the clinic, homes, schools and community settings, utilizing a combination of intensive teaching and natural environment training procedures. Collect, record, summarize and analyze data on observable client behavior. Oversee programming in various settings (home, community, and center). Participate in parent meetings and caregiver trainings. Attend coordination of care meetings with various other providers (Schools, SLPs, OTs, etc.) Conduct verbal behavior/language assessments (VB-MAPP/ABLLS-R). Conduct functional living assessments (AFLS). Prepare assessment and re-assessment reports for insurance authorizations. Complete insurance reviews with case managers for service authorizations

Includes goal selection, graphing client behavior reduction and goal acquisition data daily, implementing behavior reduction procedures in accordance to behavior plan developed. Overseeing client cases, monitoring client progress in identified areas. Shaping client’s behavior through positive reinforcement strategies. Shaping client’s communication skills utilizing picture exchange communication system, sign language, pivotal response technique, and positive reinforcement strategies. Working collaboratively with client caregivers via parent trainings and assisting in the care of the client’s physical needs including toileting and feeding. Provide training to RBTs and therapists in training.
