Profile bio

About Erika Brown, Phd, Pmp

I'm a PhD with a degree in Chemical Engineering specializing in the study of clathrate hydrates (BS in Chemical and Biological Engineering). Learning has always been my passion, leading me to obtain my doctorate so that I could contribute by performing research. I am always experimenting, regardless of whether I’m in the lab, elbow deep in my reef tank or trying to perfect a new recipe in the kitchen.During my doctoral program, I designed numerous experimental procedures to measure important variables influencing hydrate cohesion and interfacial properties. As both an individual researcher and in teams, I’ve worked to develop research into high quality written and oral presentations, including peer-reviewed journals and national conferences. I’m adaptive and a quick learner, easily adjusting to new situations. As a cancer survivor, I’m no stranger to challenges. Moving forward, I hope to apply the skills that I’ve learned to a career in industry. My competencies in experimentation, data analysis, and modeling will allow me to help make a difference in developing energy technologies.

Listed skills include Microsoft Office, Chemical Engineering, Thermodynamics, Microsoft Word, and 11 others.
