I am the lead writer/editor for the FMA’s marketing pieces, publications, and website projects. I oversee the development and production of Florida Medical Magazine, a quarterly publication that won four 2012 Florida Magazine Association Awards. I also develop concepts for promotional materials to recruit and retain FMA members.

I am the co-creator and co-manager of Girls-Gone-Geek.com, a popular blog devoted to comic book commentary from a female perspective. In just three years, our readership has grown to include nearly 2,000 Facebook fans and 1,400 Twitter followers. I have also written commentary about comic books and science fiction for CNN.com's Geek Out! blog.

I managed all aspects of the FICPA's Florida CPA Today magazine, from planning to production. I wrote and edited articles, provided design direction and worked closely with the print company to make sure the magazine stayed on schedule. I also wrote messages for association executives, including newspaper op-eds and letters to the editor.

I analyzed public policy issues and wrote editorials reflecting the editorial board’s opinions. I also planned, edited, and designed the daily opinion and letters sections.

Baltimore, Maryland Area

I wrote extensively about school district policy and education trends for the Baltimore Sun's Howard County edition.

Tampa/St. Petersburg, Florida Area

I covered local government and suburban communities for the North Pinellas and North of Tampa editions.
