Jewelry has been a life-long fascination. Erika began hands-on jewelry design while working as a human resources manager and taking evening classes in metalsmithing, wax design, and stone setting at the former Crafts Student League in NY and the 92nd Street Y Arts Program. ERD represents sculptural art jewelry in mixed metals (gold, sterling silver and bronze), and gemstones. Erika is strongly inspired by nature, interpreting shapes in a minimalist fashion, incorporating vibrant color. The collections include unique handmade designs as well as limited editions series. Planned and implemented annual marketing and retail events for premier studio jewelry gallery. Organized off-site retail art shows: solicited artist collections, designed booth construction, processed sales, created visual displays, and managed travel planning and staffing.
