Sr. Digital Marketing & Ecommerce Manager
The Ocean Cleanup is developing technologies to rid the world’s oceans of plastic. The Ocean Cleanup is audacious, pragmatic, and focused on impact. Cleaning up the oceans at the scale we aim to do has never been done before, which requires ingenuity and a can-do attitude. A culture I wholeheartedly thrive in and identify with. Some of my projects at The Ocean Cleanup thus far:• Manage The Ocean Cleanup website with our external web design- and development agency and improving conversion through A/B testing. • Manage and improve our website data tracking to better know our KPI development. • Set up our newsletter program, and now have a subscriber list of 80K+ subscribers with an above non-profit standard open rate and click-through rate. The newsletters traffic is the source with the highest conversion rate. • Set up and manage the e-commerce shop for our first-ever ocean plastic product: The Ocean Cleanup Sunglasses. Worked with the Product-to-Market Manager to formulate the selling propositions and user experience.• Set up and manage the organization’s first paid marketing campaigns for the sunglasses: Google Search, Display, YouTube, Facebook, and LinkedIn. • Prepared media content (q&a, info pack, media gallery, invites) for our biggest PR moment yet: the launch of our first ocean cleanup system• Brought in millions in funding and secured multiple partnerships• Although outside my role scope: improved our CRM system Salesforce together with Deloitte. Salesforce was first mainly used for answering supporter queries but is now used by the entire organization to manage partners, funders, donors & HR applicants.
Digital Communications Manager
When I started at The Ocean Cleanup in 2017, the communication team was still small, which meant that my role encompasses a broad range of tasks: content writing, public relations, partnership management, fundraising, community management, CRM management, data analysis, newsletter, event invite setup, and website management. This broad start gave me a unique 360° hands-on communication experience in the organization which is exceptionally powerful for holistic strategizing. As the organization grew, so did the communication team, and my role evolved to become less operational and more strategic, project management focused and including more marketing aspects.
Medior Country Manager
Online PrePaid Services B.V. is a company based in the Netherlands, which has served millions of customers around Europe since 2009, by offering a simple, fast and secure way to purchase memberships, gift cards and games digitally.Medior Country Manager (January 2016 – January 2017) - With the launch of the new brand Startselect in February 2016, I got to be part of building a brand image from scratch. While still being responsible for the growth and profitability of the Swedish market, I was also in charge of formulating and managing marketing campaigns for the company as a whole.
Junior Country Manager
After setting up a solid basis for the Swedish market, I could take on more challenges. At the time, there was a lack of in-house SEO expertise, so I decided to educate myself on this. I taught my colleagues the best practices I had learned as well as requested technical changes from the IT department. After an SEO expert joined our team, I went on to explore the next thing I felt was lacking; conversion optimization and user experience. I initiated the project of implementing a new website design as well as started conducting split tests to improve the performance of the webshops.
Assistant Country Manager
When I started, the Swedish market was unexplored territory for the company. My task was to successfully launch webshops for this market. This required keyword- and market research as a basis for the website content, set-up of PPC ads as well as formulation of a pricing strategy. After setting up the websites it was time to analyze and improve them, with the help of Google Analytics data, surveys, social media engagement, and insights from customer support. By the end of 2014, I had launched five webshops and the Swedish market was generating healthy revenue growth.
Service Advisor
As a Service Advisor at Aktia Bank Abp, my responsibilities were to support and help clients with their everyday banking errands as well as creating and strengthening the relationship between the client and the bank. Due to a reconstruction of the IT system, a bank account type beloved by many clients had to be discontinued. I took it upon myself to schedule meetings with account holders far in advance of the discontinuation. This was not only more customer-friendly but there was also more time to transfer their capital to more profitable (for both the client and the bank) account forms. When I left the position to continue studying, my region had the highest conversion rate of all.
Telephone Marketer
As a Telephone Marketer at Enia, I called to prospective customers to tell them about the benefits of switching from their current mobile/internet provider to Saunalahti. Two weeks after closing a sale, I called the customers back to check up on their satisfaction level as well as to see if they were in need of any other service package from Saunalahti.
Customer Service Agent
The main task as a Customer Service Agent at KappAhl was cashier management. I also put new clothes on display, tidied up the store and helped customers by giving clothing advice.
