Erik is an adjunct faculty at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Business and has taught a survey course on the legal environment of business.Mr. Baines’ practice includes business law, contract drafting, contract disputes, business formation and disputes. He also practices in the areas of criminal defense, family law, and personal injury litigation. His clerkship with the Honorable Melvin R. Hughes, Jr. and the Honorable Bradley B. Cavedo of the City of Richmond Circuit Court, provides valuable insight into the courtroom and litigation.He was admitted to practice law in Virginia in 2012. Mr. Baines graduated 6th in his class from the University of Richmond Law School. During his last year of law school, Mr. Baines prosecuted criminal offenses in Chesterfield and represented indigent clients in family law matters with a third-year practice certificate.Prior to law school, Mr. Baines owned and operated his own business.
