Erik Blicker began his musical and audio creation journey at age of four when his father began recording the family on reel to reel. His home was filled with the music of the greats. A trip to the library with his father at age 8 yielded "Beatles for Sale" which went straight to the reel to reel.. This event set his musical passion combined with recording ablaze.HIs love affair with the guitar started at age 12. Studying with a former bandmate of Duane Allman he grew into playing in bands throughout Connecticut. Opening a music store in Connecticut at 18 Erik went from zero to seventy students a week over five years teaching banjo, mandolin, lap steel, drums, bass and guitar. Erik sold the music store to study recording and Jazz Guitar at the University of Miami.Enriching his production, writing and playing skills he toured extensively. Relocating to NYC, Erik pursued a masters in music from the Aaron Copeland School of Music where he studied with Jazz legend and saxophone great Jimmy Heath.A time tested, one in a billion partnership was created with Glenn Schloss after meeting on a gig. Formimg G&E Music and creating music and scores for thousands of projects led to being one of the most played artists on ESPN. Creating sonic identities, show packaging and custom music for almost every broadcast network. Followed by scoring feature films, documentary's and original tracks.In 2004 Glenn and Erik with partner Brian Quill created Flavorlab to provide the TV and Film industry with seamless, efficient all encompassing audio services engaging viewers, telling stories and driving ratings. Music and audio that speaks to people and moves picture, that is emotional and intelligent. It’s what we do.
