As a TA at Duke in the Computer Science department, I've assisted professors with discrete math for computer science, introductory operating systems, formal language and automata theory, and introductory computer systems classes. My primary responsibilities have involved holding 3-5 office hours per week, answering message board questions from students, grading assignments, and conducting interviews with prospective TAs for future semesters. I've used my communication skills to explain concepts to students in creative ways and to help them complete and understand homework assignments. A side effect of this is continually improving my grasp on the basic concepts of computer science; there's no better way to learn something than to explain it to someone else.

As a Shipt shopper during school breaks my work included shopping for and delivering orders for 8-12 customers per day at stores such as Target, Publix, and Best Buy. When I would receive an order from a customer, I would go to the store they requested and shop for their order, contacting them for any necessary item replacements, then deliver the order to their front door. Through effective communication, good time management, and multitasking skills, I kept an average customer rating of 4.9 stars out of 5 and made 99% of my deliveries on-time.
