I worked for the Robust Software Engineering group at NASA Ames Research Center as a software developer for the AdvoCATE project. The project aims to create a tool that supports the development and management of safety/assurance cases. AdvoCATE is used widely both within NASA and DARPA on real-world assurance cases.- Develop code primarily using Java, but also in: *Xtend - a functional programming language using JVM (similar to Kotlin) *Xtext - a framework for development of domain specific languages (DSL) *Sirius - software to create custom graphical modeling workbenches for front-end- Assist in the planning process of designing new tool features using JIRA and Confluence- Participate in end-user meetings and provide client support

Neo4j is a graph database that stores data and relationships. Neo4j Bloom, a Neo4j product, is used to visually interact with databases by drawing query results as graphs.-Created a Java application connected to a Neo4j database to research new drawing algorithms for Neo4j Bloom-Application functionalities: submit queries, store information, and visualize results based on different algorithms and configurations-Researched algorithms and analyzed their performances based on metrics related to time complexities and appearances-Determined that the layered graph drawing algorithm is suitable for Neo4j Bloom, as it can visualize 5x as many nodes as the algorithm currently being used-Results provided Neo4j, Inc. with a new method to produce faster drawings that portrayed the information more effectively-Published findings as a master’s thesis titled: Graph Layout Methods for Graph Databases, Performance and Analysis

Packet Architects, AB works with a toolchain to synthesize their high level language PAC into pipelined RTL code. The code is then implemented in network switch hardware.Project 1:-Applied various compiler optimizations on the dataflow graphs produced by the toolchainI-mplemented and evaluated the efficiency of the optimizations in Python-The project established algorithms that allowed Packet Architects, AB to generate smaller and faster hardware designs by 2%Project 2:-Designed two alternative methods of inserting operations into pipeline steps: a variation of the Karger’s min-cut algorithm and a dynamic programming approach-Examined performance of the algorithms in different input graphs in Python
