QA Analyst/Lead for Magic: The Gathering OnlineI worked as the test lead for both the leagues and MOST project at Wizards of the Coast for Magic Online. During my time there I was highly effective in managing my teams and test environments as well as coordinating efforts with other disciplines to do both internal and external betas, UATs, and session based testing. I would also lead the daily triage and be responsible for test planning and all strategies for testing the products from end to end. Escalated issues. Clarified requirements. Lead external teams to above average releases. Volunteered to test other backend systems and upgrades to demonstrate the ability to utilize one team for different test efforts. Played lots of Magic. Won the chili cook off one year. Great place to work at the time.

Worked at MS primarily in the games and mobile group. In games I served on every iteration of the Xbox up until the Xbox One. I worked as a functional tester with area ownership in games before becoming a test lead either for multiplayer or as the core team lead for the offshore staff. I also did a stint where I worked in the multiplayer networking lab to learn xbox live network certification process. Working in mobile I was part of windows phone and served as one of the build and BVT testers for many different flavors of windows mobile. The work was based around escalating issues when there were breaks and determining who owned the area that failed and resolving problems quickly. I became pretty proficient at it but moved on to a team where I designed and built out a lab to test the mean time to failure on the fleet of windows phone 7 launch devices from HTC.
Created and implemented test framework for incoming interactives, defined best practices for interactive development, created an interactive acceptance process and guide, supported and managed deployment of fixes for interactives sent on the road, reproduced bugs and found the best solutions for handling problems when they couldn't be resolved in code, improved vendor and 3rd party relations by helping them to resolve problems with technology in the museum, lead several process improvement projects leading to great results, etc etc.

Worked in the warehouse but then made my way upstairs for my first taste of game testing.
