Nowadays, I have my hands full as IT coordinator at Volta - kruispunt van elektrotechniek - and as a co-founder of Liquisens, an innovating startup that wants people to make a positive choice about tap water by sharing insights about the quality.I like to lead by example, to apply an agile approach (especially when it becomes complex), to look for win-wins, to lean towards people, to coach & mentor and to radiate enthusiasm.After a master's degree in computer science at the Vrije Universiteit in Brussels I started my career as software developer with a strong belief to become an entrepreneur. At first as a freelance consultant. But not later much with the startup of a first IT business together with my college friend.With that experience we launched Roots Software in 1997. That is a software service company that grew over the years upto 30 people. After a strategy pivot we decided to focus on software integration using open source technology and to split-off other activities into succesfull businesses: Provideor (now The Grain) specializing in big data/AI, and Selas specializing in cloud software projects and support using Microsoft technology. All companies are now in good hands of my former partners.
