CurrentLAPS (Local Analysis and Prediction System) - model; High resolution analysis and forecast of areas ranging from larger cities and their environments to bigger domain such as Scandinavia. The LAPS analysis serves as now-casting model and/or as 3-D field background ingest field for high-resolution numerical models. MM5 (Meso-scale Model 5) or WRF (Weather and Research Forecasting model) - model; Meso-scale modeling of areas with complex terrain (coastlines, mountainous areas, valleys, cities etc.). MM5 has been used within wind power estimations and to build up of a wind-atlas.
