The Customer Service & Technical Support (C.S. & T.S.) is a department of Shimano Europe BV and provides technical support, services and education to distributors and O.E.M.’s. Activities: C.S. & T.S. is responsible for handling the following activities for Shimano and PRO: • Warranty claims/complaints • Evaluation of quality standards • Supports product improvement based on market information • Gives assistance and technical support during bicycle events • Co-ordination technical information • Monitor and test Bicycle components • Provision of technical support, services and education • Complaint handling and analysis of Non conformance products • Running replacement action • Recall action • Handling Product liabilityIntermediar: C.S. & T.S. act as an intermediary between the European bicycle- & fishing market and the related Shimano factories by collecting, analysing and transferring information. Within Shimano Europe, C.S. & T.S. supports also Sales, Public Relation and Marketing activities.

By writing a open job application on Shimano's website, I had the chance to get employed at Shimano. In Jan/2000 I joined TeamShimano at the Service Department of Shimano Benelux, and was working on Returned Goods and Warranty Claims send in by Shimano Dealers in the Benelux (Belgium/Netherlands/Luxembourg). After about one year I became Supervisor and was leading the department having 4 FTE's at that time. Two people working for Fishing- & two for Bike Department.

From January 1996 untill January 2000 I have been working in bicycleshops.

In April 1992 I started my own Bicycle Shop at age 18. This was a very good and usefull experience getting to know the bicycle industry. In Dec/1995 I sold the shop to a bigger retailer.
