Working as an Investment Manager with a focus on SME’s in the Nordic region (mainly Sweden). I’m a true generalist with no real sector focus, both in my current role as well as experience, however my experience from the “real-world” in the pulp and paper industry has left a romantic spark for big machinery as well as consumer insights (I know, might sound far-fetched but it’s actually not).My current role covers the entire Private Equity span from pre-deal (including origination, transaction execution, financing, modelling, negotiating/closing etc.) to post-deal (seat on the board of directors, operational improvement, add-on acquisitions and finally exit).My experience from working with CEO’s, business owners and management both from an external and in-house advisor perspective is that people matter, which more and more is reflected in how I view and analyze businesses.From a personal perspective I’m fascinated and inspired by entrepreneurs, both in terms of their ability to identify business opportunities and their bravery to follow their passion. Business models also sparks my interest and especially how business models from one industry can transform another.
