Nordmark Energy Consulting, LLC is my own consulting company. I am a specialist in renewable energy business, finance, M&A and financial modeling. My client work includes supporting both buy-side and sell-side project transactions, due diligence processes, financial modeling and analysis. Much of my work includes some element of modeling and analysis. I have particular expertise in tax equity structures (solar and wind), renewable natural gas (RNG) structures (including California LCFS), and fund economics for project-based investment funds. My clients hire me for my experience, understanding of renewable energy financial structures and clarity of analysis and presentation. Many of my buy-side clients hire me as an alternative to hiring someone to do their modeling work. They appreciate that they can get a senior-level skill set in which they do not have to train or hold hands and can work on an as-needed basis. My clients also find I add value on the entire transaction process..Many of my sell-side clients hire me to build financial models to support their financing or sale efforts. I have clients who hired me to review, clean up and run corporate or fund-level financial models, sometimes to support financing efforts or because the person who built them is no longer at the company and the people who inherited the models do not have the time to work on them.There has been much talk in the industry lately about a shortage of skilled workers to support project transactions. I joined SunEdison in early 2014 on the team developing the "yieldco" - the holding company of operating renewable energy assets. We had a successful launch of TerraForm Power (TERP) at our July 2014 IPO. I was on the team acquiring renewable energy projects in the U.S. and Canada.

I was part of the underwriting and acquisitions team at EverStream. We were acquiring solar assets (utility and distributed generation photovoltaic projects) in a number of countries, including the U.S.

I was a Vice President at Meridian Clean Fuels and a registered investment representative of Meridian Investments, Inc. We financed alternative energy projects, including solar, wind, biomass, geothermal and fuel cells. Meridian Investments is a leading "tax equity" investment bank that, in addition to alternative energy, finances low income housing and other projects that utilize tax credits and tax benefits in its structure.

At Northland Securities I was Senior Analyst for the commercial lending syndications group, as well as for the corporate investment banking group. I primarily worked on senior housing, hospitality and gaming, but also alternative energy. I was also manager of the loan servicing operations (for National Servicing & Administration, a subsidiary of Northland) and provided some analysis for the municipal finance group, as well.
