Telling the story of sexual violence can be difficult. The job of Director of Media/Public Relations is to serve as an expert to media outlets throughout the state of Indiana to help the public better understand violent sexual crimes, and how to prevent them from happening.Responsibilities:• Prepare press releases, alerts, public postings that support INCASA's statewide efforts• Pitch story ideas, reports, press releases, and other related material to national, state and local media outlets• Prepare messaging and copy for marketing and communications initiatives, such as: web content, social media messaging, blog postings, fact sheets, FAQ's, and newsletters• Serve as primary spokesperson for INCASA• Create and foster partnerships with sexual assault service providers and provide technical assistance on strategic media planning, social marketing projects, and public awareness activities• Serve as the state coordinator for engaging men in rape prevention and education initiatives
