At InterconnectEd, we provide teacher training for fully integrated professional programs in areas of project development, business partnerships, guest instruction, mentor programs, assessment, and other specific program needs. We utilize a method called Interconnected Teaching that is embodied by the Interconnected Achievement Model.We also provide staff development for all teachers and are driven to reach the lone teacher in the classroom teaching social studies, math, language arts, or other subjects. We have designed an approach that will provide teachers the ability to understand how utilizing industry and community partners can be transformational for the student learning experience. Although we spend time on philosophy and student outcomes, the most powerful part of our workshops is that teachers will leave with something tangible that they have created to fit their needs and can implement right away. Because we know that execution of the first step is a game changer. The more we integrate slices of these experiences into the K-12 experience, the more we will prepare students for college and beyondSince our inception, we have provided staff development for over 20 districts from across the United States.

•Collaborated with colleagues, administration, and business community to develop the Vantage program at MHS. The program provides junior and senior students with real-world experiences in corporate settings, where they learn and develop skills in high-demand local corporate environments.•Taught various business courses while integrating technology and 21st Century skills to enhance learning in my classroom.•Mapped curriculum by implementing national business standards, essential questions, and course objectives.•Taught the following courses: Sports and Entertainment Marketing and Management, Foundations of Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Computer Programming I & II, Accounting I & II, Investing, Personal Financial Management, Keyboarding, Introduction to Business, IB Business & Management.•Enhanced business department curriculum by adding the following courses since returning to MHS: Foundations of Marketing, IB Business & Management, and Entrepreneurship.•Enhanced business department by establishing a DECA chapter.•Served as Business Department Chair from 2007 to Present.

•Prepared emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in our chapter.•Revitalized DECA chapter at Minnetonka High School after an 18-year absence from extracurricular offerings.•Effectively recruited and marketed this extracurricular activity to MHS students. In year two, our chapter was the largest chapter in the state of Minnesota.•Produced highly skilled and knowledgeable students that resulted in qualifications to the International Development Conference the last five years in Anaheim, CA, Louisville, KY, Orlando, FL, and Salt Lake City, UT.•Top 10 finishers at the International Develop Conference: Individual Sports & Entertainment Marketing (2009, 2010), Entrepreneurship Written (2010), Entrepreneurship: Growing Your Own Business (2012).

•Organized and scheduled practice to assist in helping individuals and the team reach their greatest potential.•Developed meaningful player-coach relationships in order to serve as a positive and motivating role model.•Communicated with other coaches on the staff in regard to program and individual athlete development.•Demonstrated proficient knowledge of effective coaching strategies during game and practice situations. These strategies were directly focused around predetermined team goals for the season.

•Assisted head coach with coaching responsibilities such as: scouting, game preparation, film analysis, player assessment, and practice planning.•Assisted in leading the Skippers to a 4A state championship during the 2007-2008 season. Our team finished #10 in the nation according to the MaxPreps rankings.•Utilized coaching and teaching methods to develop student athletes’ skills and teamwork.•Initiated mandatory study hall for players to advise individual players with personal or academic problems.
