I know JavaScript, and now I see The Matrix.After separating from the US Air Force (Honorable Discharge). I was determined to use the discipline, attention to detail, and other skills gained throughout my service, to obtain a Bachelors in Business, with a minor in Criminal Justice. Traditional Education had always been a struggle for me, but this time would be different. I was an adult now; I'd been through the fire during my service. Meeting and overcoming all challenges and obstacles. Surely, I could handle college. Unfortunately, the very struggles I had in my youth, were still very present; and I failed to earn an Associates Degree, let alone a Bachelors.Eventually, through VA counseling, I was encouraged to be tested for ADHD. I always figured that I probably had it, but I didn't see how a diagnosis would make any difference. I could not have been more wrong. Shortly, after being diagnosed with Severe ADHD, I began researching it; I explored whatever information I could find on the subject matter. Suddenly, pieces of my childhood came together, forming a clear picture. I saw the world differently than most, and that could be used to my advantage. I then researched careers suited for Neuro-Divergents, which is when I discovered coding.I applied, and was accepted to V-School's coding program. That's when it happened; the passion I had always yearned for, nearly overwhelmed me the first time I coded a basic HTML page. And now I can't get enough. Full-Stack web development fulfills so many of my passions; I get to utilize problem solving and creativity, as I tear through the previous code, and make it stronger (All while utilizing Git, of course).Due to my ADHD, I am able to hyper-focus on projects for hours without stopping; utilizing the same focus and passion when doing something that I love, like playing videogames. I love debugging and problem-solving, sifting through the code until I find that one, incorrect character, or mis-coded syntax. Nearly every time I fix a complex issue, I can't help but pump my fists into the air in triumph, thrilled that I figured it out.My specialties include rapidly learning new skills and programming languages, debugging, website optimization, responsive design principles, and problem solving. So far I have JavaScript, ES6, React, HTML, CSS, Node.js, Express, AJAX/HTTP and Git/GitHub in my repertoire. I am learning Python, Mongoose, MongoDB, and JSONI'd love to connect, and collaborate with other passionate problem solvers.
