Assists regional fisheries managers enumerating sockeye escapement in critical Peninsula fishery. Conducts live samples of adult fish, collects genetic material for analysis. Duties also include data entry, small engine maintenance, and in-river maintenance of large weir. Position required ability to pilot 18 ft skiffs in varying weather and river conditions.

Lived and worked at a remote Fish and Game office. Logistics work including: coordinating the transport of live samples off research vessels to genetics lab in Anchorage, and coordinating the supplying of four remote field camps. Was the liaison between research vessels, genetics lab, airlines and various other departments within ADF&G. Worked extensively with excel to track Sockeye escapement, assisting the Area Management Biologist. Reviewed all harvest data off fishing tenders for the management area for errors. Later, worked at one of the remote weirs, enumerating and live sampling adult Sockeye, which entailed sexing, measuring and obtaining scales for aging purposes. Live sampled smolt Sockeye for weight, length, and scales to age. Kept meticulous data records of all sampling preformed. Preformed routine camp maintenance including but not limited to: various construction projects, small engine maintenance and basic electrical work. Managed one employee.
