CurrentAs a marketing communications consultant for Southwest Research Institute, I collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, business development, executive leadership, and subject matter experts, to create compelling, strategic communications that elevate the brand, reputation, and thought leadership of the organization.Key Responsibilities:• Collaborative Content Development: Works with marketing, communications, business executives, and subject matter experts to source stories, pitch ideas, and develop content that aligns with company priorities and strategic initiatives. Implements marketing/communications plans to drive alignment across multi-functional teams.• Internal & External Campaigns: Partners with internal teams - marketing, business development, and leadership, to understand key business initiatives and ensure messaging consistency across all channels. Aligns messaging with business strategy and priorities.• Storytelling & Content Creation: Researches and sources story ideas based on company projects, people, and business initiatives. Develops content by interviewing internal experts, drafting materials, and ensuring high-quality, engaging messaging.• Event & Campaign Coordination: Coordinates promotional campaigns, materials, and events to generate client and media attention and enhancing the organization’s brand.• Communication & Presentations: Manages division updates and presentations, ensuring effective communication of key business initiatives and strategic direction.• Technical Proposal Development: Leads strategy sessions with cross-functional teams—project managers, engineers, subject matter experts, and proposal managers. Outlines proposal structure, drafting content, and ensuring compliance with proposal requirements. Leads reviews for clarity, ensures consistency, verifies technical accuracy, and strengthens the value proposition. Formats to follow client specifications and proofreads before final submission.
