Whilst, studying for my PGCE at York St John University, I have been working alongside classroom teacher to see different teaching strategies. I taught year 5/6. I was able to see the different format of assessments such as formative and summative. I also carried out extra curriculum activities such as helping out at lunchtime and making sure all the children have their lunch whilst meeting dietary requirements. I have helped to cover paternity and also covered lessons due to personal reasons due to covid.

On completion of my Teacher Training. I was placed in this primary school. Where I taught all upper Key Stage 2 due to being such a small school. This class contained contained gifted and talented children and also SEND children where I had to adapt the learning and activities. I also had to change my planning depending on children’s ages as well as their abilities too.
