I am a RTI teacher dedicated to building strong foundational skills across content areas. I am a skilled data analyst and apply these skills to provide targeted and individualized Structured Literacy instruction. I am an Orton Gillingham trained, Certified Dyslexia Practitioner with a successful track record of growing striving readers. I have experienced co-teaching and collaborating with teachers for diverse populations in a special education inclusion setting, I am practiced in providing scaffolds and supports for not only students with gaps in reading and writing but am also well-versed in working with English Learners and their families. In my career I have worked on curriculum design for a variety of curriculum models and have been a model classroom for the district as well as other districts and agencies across the state and beyond. These leadership skills extend to various committees within my school and district including our Building Leadership Team, Diversity and Inclusion committee, and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports team. I am well-versed in the processes of the Multi-Tiered System of Supports for both academic and behavioral Response to Intervention. As a former virtual teacher, I am well practiced in creating and implementing digital content that is accessible for all students and families. I bring a well-rounded approach to educating children for the world in which we currently live.
