I help businesses navigate government contracts, SBA set-aside programs, and technical data rights (intellectual property rights) by walking alongside clients and explaining the complex regulatory requirements as it applies to their companies and situations. I do this for contracts, grants, other transactions (OTs), CRADAs, SBIRs and STTRs, cooperative agreements, and other government funded agreements.I am an experienced public administrator and government contracts attorney. I draw on more than 26 years’ combined experience as a contract administrator at the U.S. Department of Defense: Defense Contract Management Agency, and in senior administration and as program director for the Cleveland Public Library Foundation and the Cuyahoga County Board of County Commissioners. That experience allows me to offer practical business-focused, government-guided advice designed to comply with the ever-changing laws and regulations in increasingly competitive government acquisitions.Experience areas: federal contracting (FAR/DFARS); federal grants (Uniform Guidance, 2 CFR 200); project management; public policy development; regulatory compliance; advocacy; general government; small business development; economic and community development; budget and finance; cost accounting; construction; infrastructure; social program design, development, and evaluation; staff training and development; media and community relations; and non-profit management and governance.
